The DC city council has passed an emergency bill to allow bars to stay open 24hrs/day for 4 days around the inauguration...

Yup... It was on the news this morning. Apparently this is becoming common practice whenever there is something big like this. It was done in the cities where the Dem and Reb national conventions where held.

Personally, I think it is dumb but I can see where it will benefit the restaurants/bars. I just hope no one gets hurt.
