Hey Chris - what's your opinion on the sidekick id? Not for me, for the girlfriend. Due to Cingular not having an unlimited text messaging plan she was just stuck with a $300 bill. Spoke to her last night and she's going to switch to TMobile. She'd be using is specifically for data - texting, internet, aim, etc etc.

 

The ID is pretty good, it is the Sidekick 3 without the Bluetooth, MPS player and Camera.

If those items arent important it would be a good phone for text etc

 

Yeah. She plans to use it just for data - so the bluetooth and MPS player are pretty much useless to her. Not too sure if they have upgraded the quality, however the camera in my sidekick II was crap.

 

We're discussing some things, but more than likely she'll do a two phone deal.

1- Telephone...
1- Data... text messaging, instant messaging, internet, etc.

I know she's looking at the sidekick III for data, more than likely she'll end up getting the sidekick id.

 

Its a 1.3 mega pixel. much better quality

 

Not bad. What's price difference between the Sidekick III and Sidekick ID? I want to say that I heard $300 -> $100 from somewhere.

 

Does the Sidekick camera now have any sort of flash to it? That's one downside to the TMobile phones that I've had so far - no flash. My sprint phone took amazing pictures - most of the TMobile phones were blurry. During the day the shots were extremely bright... not being able to make out too much. If it was at night, the shots were extremely dark.

Pretty much the only decent shot's that I've had are indoors.

Im not sure if they are open, but one is designed to support the convention center. They are suppose to have banquet facilities.
