I looked at it this way... My ass is going to end up underneath that Jeep while it is being held up by that jack. Do I want some cheap POS knock-off or the proven original holding up my rig? The cost difference isn't that significant.

As soon as you put larger tires on that thing, you are going to need it. What if you have a flat on the side of the road? Your little OE bottle jack ain't going to get a 33" tire off the ground.
