Default New Toy - Warning Gun Content

This thing is so pretty I just had to post a pic. This is my hunting AR in 6.5mm Grendel. I built it from a model1sales.com kit and a stripped receiver. I've been a big fan of the M16/AR15 since I qualified with one in basic training.

P.S. Don't tell Brenda I had the rifle on the butcher block.

It's not that powerful. The 6.5mm Grendel cartridge has similar ballistics to a Winchester .270 and similar energy delivery at long range to the .308. But it's short enough to fit in a normal size AR15 magazine so any standard AR15 lower will work.

The Alabama gun thread is an interesting read. Seems like a good bunch of hunters and shooters.
