Yep. They just got so damn noisy. I was greasing them twice a week and even then they'd still squeak. I've had a couple of other sets of wheels on there since the Moons.

These old-school Kosei RT Meshies:



...but I loaned them to a friend until his Volks come in.

And these Kosei K1s (15x7 +27 )




...but the time came to take them off (read:a tire exploded) so I painted the steelies green and threw them back on.

I like the result.

I've since gotten some A032Rs mounted on the K1s but I'm probably going to save them for autocross action.

Yeah, the tabs that hold the hubcaps on rub against the rims when the wheels flex. And steel wheels flex a LOT.
