Sova Chat Thread ver. II
Right now my top choice of lip is the CR lip but I just can't commit. Every time I see a picture of it I like I then see a pic of it I don't like. OEM AP2 is out of the picture as well as the Mugen lip.
Because of the more uncommon lip choices I've very tempted to still try and track down ap1 front and rear bumpers to trade with someone.
Mike, I'm not sure how quiet the greddy SE really is. I can tell you for sure nothing is going to beat the ASM 70 unless you go custom. You're boosted so bigger is better. You really can't go too big being boosted either. The Greddy SE dual might not be too bad either. I think it's 70mm to 60mm dual pipes. That should flow a lot and will look better if you don't want to stare at the empty hole left by a single.

It looks like maybe the refurbished ASM 70 is the best choice, but I will not buy anything else from Go Tuning, so that may not be an option. Challenge (GT Motoring) has a street version of a 70 single that looks promising. I need to get more information on that one.
Steve - boost is driving this change. The stock cat has to go ASAP and changing to a big single should help a little. There will not be an empty hole, I could not leave that alone - it would bug me. If I change to a single, an AP1 rear with a cap would probably be the best option. It looks clean and simple, like the car came that way.
We may try to stop by C&C Saturday on the way to the Air & Auto Classic, depends on how early we get going.

I too am running a test pipe. I know I'd make more power if I ditched the HKS dual for a single exit 70mm, but unlike Mike and his supercharger, I'd have to worry about boost creep with too much flow. As it stands, I'm likely to go more restrictive by getting a high-flow cat than I am to go to the other direction. After a week of driving with this turbo setup, I can tell that I'm going to be even more conservative than I was before. It's funny... I have about 100hp more at the crank than I did a week ago, and yet I probably drive even more cautiously (not that I was wild in the first place). The last thing I'm worried about right now is more power. The turbo makes the car feel so much different UNDER 5K rpms that max HP is not the goal. Having torque down low really makes the car more fun (for me).
I'm going to miss C&C this weekend because I'll be out of town. The weather looks to be just about perfect for it though... it'll be a nice crisp fall morning. I'm definitely looking forward to a few more meets in the coming months.

Last night I tried to test fit the new Recaro I bought and all I can say is I'm glad I didn't sell my Pole Position yet. It looked awkwardly large inside the s2k to the point that I don't care how comfy it is it just plain looks silly. Plus it looks like it would be a giant paint to make it actually work. Looks like I'll be taking a giant hit selling it though but I may have found a buyer on the Subaru forum I used to frequent so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Jeff, I'm not sure of your desired spring rate but I have a full set of 800lb 6" 2.5" ID Hyperco springs that I've been sitting on for a good while. Entire set is yours for $150 or a pair for $100. Actually if you want them knock $50 off that price to cover the magnetic numbers you made me. Which reminds me I'm going to paypal you that money right now before I forget. I've got an autocross Oct.9 I could use them for!
