Wait... did Pete get rid of the Prodrives?!?! Ha! I've never seen a wheel whore that got around so much, lol. I really believed him when he proclaimed the Prodrives were THE ones too.
Haha, still have the Prodrives. Debating if I'm going to hold onto them or sell them. Right now, I've got some 17x9.5 +47 CE28s all around.

Pete - You should use this for your signature instead... whore...

Kev, I wasn't in love with the last CEs. Wasn't a huge fan of the staggered setup and the finish on them(Genesis edition). I'm telling you, once you go with a non-staggered setup, you just don't go back. When I had the 225s on the front with the last CEs, to me, the car didn't feel right. One of the reasons why the Prodrives are a non-staggered setup with 255 Star Specs. The current setup has the same sized tires all around, but they're Advan A048s. An R-comp with a 60 treadwear.

The bronze CEs I have right now came off of Diez's car...

Nice, I used to have those exact same Advans, but in a 16" size on stock AP1 wheels. I used them a few times at the drag strip on my last S2K then sold them to Chad. Those are some sticky ass tires, but obviously you're going to have to switch out of them pretty quickly if you're using them for daily driving duties.

Those wheels give the car a nice stance. I guess I'll be seeing them in person tomorrow (I haven't even seen the Prodrives yet).

Keep in mind the ideal suspension set for non-staggered is a good bit different from a regular staggered setup. On the street I don't think either setup is any faster than the other. I actually think the car is easier to drive fast and is far more tossable running a regular staggered setup. Steering feels quite a bit lighter but whether that is better or not is often personal preference. One of the biggest benefits to non-staggered that in my opinion is a noticeable different is braking performance. More tires means you'll stop faster.

I personally think it just depends on the wheel too. I think for the one piece "race" style wheel (rpf1, ce28, te37, etc) they look best when the front and rear look 100% the same. Now for a lipped wheel on the s2k I think it looks much better for the rears to have more lip. Just my personal opinion. I think the next time I get wheels I might end up trying a staggered lip wheel. I'd love a set of BBS LMs.

It's this weekend. I'll create December's Happenings thread tonight. Any suggestions on when we should schedule the drive through xmas lights on the Oceanfront (or any other meet you guys want to have)?
