People are dumb. Honestly you're most likely to lose the sale to either of those two other cars just because they rev to 9000. Real serious about that too. ZOMG crackin' vtec at 9k while boosting!!!! I love my s2k but generally hate being associated with the general Honda crowd. I also hate saying vtec.

Yeah, honestly though I was all about AP1 9k before... but after seeing how refined the AP2 is, for daily driving it's real nice.

But , don't tell Pete I said that

Him :

Hey Chad how are you? My name is Amalan and I am kinda roaming around these forums trying to buy an s2k over summer. I really like what you have done to yours. I am debating over a few s2ks on the forum right now actually.

the other two mainly being jpwerasers

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=791612

and bennetts

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=791122

kinda looking for one that has a decent amount of work already put into it. I have a few questions about yours I am hoping you wouldn't mind answering.
What are the merits of having a water damaged title ? Would that make the transfer of titles any harder and how would it affect the insurance rate? How is the turbo setup for daily driving? (what psi is it driven at and how bad is the turbo lag?) Does the clutch have any give to it or is it like an on off switch? Are there any rubbing issues with those wheels? Also, other than the flood, have you noticed any other problems?
Me :

[QUOTE]Hi Amalan,
Not too certain how I feel about bennetts car, but jpwerasers is very nice!

If you've ever wanted the AP1 over an AP2 solely for the 9k redline then it's because you're a ricer With that being said they do sound amazing past 8k but still makes you a ricer...nothing wrong with that though. All of us have a little ricer inside. The AP2 is a better car in every way except for the part about being more expensive.

Selling modded cars suck for sure. I got pretty lucky and it didn't take me too long to sell my WRX but I ended up selling it for about $4000 less than what I originally wanted. Basically the blue book value of the car and the built transmission together were worth more than what I sold it for. The guy basically got a turbo upgrade (fuel pump, injectors, fmic, turbo inlet, turbo back exhaust), a solid tune, a nice fancy boost controller, front lip, coilovers and sway bars, pretty new wheels and tires all for free. I definitely lost a good chunk on that car but I think that's just part of the game.

If I could tighten my BOV up enough to get compressor surge, I would.. that's how much of a ricer I am! lol

Yeah. The way I figure it... if this car didn't have a branded title it would have been gone, before I even put it up for sale. Oh well though, thanks Statefarm!

^hahahaha. I love the sound of compressor surge. Probably one of the coolest sounds a turbo car can make. I can say that I've actually done that. Only so that it surge a little under very low boost. Once you got into it a little it worked fine.

What kind of BOV are you running? Just need a Tial with a stiffer spring. It'll surge under the psi the spring is rated at.

And if you don't know what compressor surge sounds like you have no idea what you're missing ...............searching for YouTube video now.....

It's the Inline Pro BOV that came with the kit. When I first got the kit it would surge, but after getting the car detailed... for some odd reason it went away. I've put the BOV at full stiff, still wouldn't though. So opened it back up.

I agree though, love that sound.
