Now I kind of wish you weren't in my heat so I could either ride along with your or get some pointers. I see you're very modest. I've seen some videos and your car is flying! My goal is to be the 2nd fastest s2000 out there b/c I know I won't be faster than you.

Don't count yourself out, the saying "on any given Sunday" applies to autocross as well.

I'd be happy to take you along for a run. We're only ten cars apart so it may/may not be possible. We'll see if we can work it out.

 

I guess we'll see how things play out. Seeing you go first and then there are 30 cars between when I go then you I'd imagine you'd be able to ride along with me.

 

Well VA state police ruin all the fun now don't they? Got pulled again this morning for no front plate and this time I didn't just get away with a warning. I'm just going to pay this ticket and see how long it takes to get pulled over again. If I get stopped again to soon from now I'll probably just cave and put it on the car. Just need to get creative in the way it mounts because I'm not slapping it with the holes that supposed to be used.

Am I the only one that'd be willing to shell out some $$$ if there was some kind of exemption fee to pay? I'd gladly shell out money to get around it. I'd think a good majority of sports car owners would as well.

 

Oh this sounds familiar. I got pulled over this past weekend by Chesapeake's finest. He went on to tell me the code and VA's rule and such. Although I only got a warning, I refuse to put it on my car. I'm not being rebelious but I've never run a front plate and have gotten pulled over for it multiple times and never once paid it.

I even had a officer tell me that if I go to court with a picture showing the tag on there, they would drop it. IMO, it looks god awful on the S. Some cars it blends right in, but the S it ruins the lines.

My bumper has plugs in it for a reason. I don't know, I just think its a bs reason to stop a car. Really, is not having a front tag that big of a deal? Who cares honestly. It doesn't negatively impact the day-to-day operation of my vehicle so its pointless in my eyes.

Oh and yes I would pay a nominal fee annually to run not front tag. I say we start a petition? How about it guys? lol

 

^I'm game. Get the ball rolling. Seriously I'd pay an extra $100 a year just to know I don't have to deal with it I'd be willing to bet plenty of others could scrounge together an extra $100 a year. That could turn into some quick revenue. Of course the problem is they probably make more giving out tickets which is probably one of the biggest reasons we are still required to run one.

You could run the hideaway plate holder, but if your car is dumped you'd scrape the lettering off the plate within a month.
