Wheels are on, car is dirty. I want to wash it before the meet tomorrow (not sure if I'll have time after work or not. )

I know not everyone will like the color, and I'm OK with that. These will be up for sale probably before the weekend is over.

I need to set up a poll, and see what color the next ones should be, and just pick a highly desired color, so I can sell those too.

Shitty camera phone teaser pic below, before installation.

Seriously, its a bad picture, had to upload it to the computer from the phone because I'm dumb and can't figure out how to upload it directly from the phone to S2Ki.

I'm serious, this picture sucks.

Probably after he makes enough profit off his powdercoated wheels to pay for his new ones

It took a year and a half of owning the car but I finally got pulled over for running no front plate. Lady luck was on my side, just got off with a warning. He also asked if the car was lowered.

Just out of curiosity, what's the fine on front plate ticket? I think had he busted out the tape measure for too low I'd have won that battle.

Well, the plan was to order the real wheels after I sold the orange ones, but I got another set of AP2's plus cash instead of all cash. So, I got the new set powder coated for funzies. I thought about selling these and ordering the new wheels, but that thought may be put on hold for a while. Me and the woman are trying to buy a house, and she has a little too much debt, so I'm going to give her a lump some of cash to pay down some debt, so we pre qualify for a larger amount.

Steve, I think the fine for no front plate is like $25. BUT, the court cost is more than double that, at least it is in Hampton. A tint ticket is $86. $35 fine, and the rest is court cost.

I mean I wouldn't go to court for it. I'd probably just pay the fine and be done with it.

They will eventually make you go to court though if you keep getting pulled and just paying the fine....a friend of mine found that out after getting pulled the 9th time for no front plate and they crossed out the pay the fine spot on the ticket

Cory I'm looking forward to seeing your new wheels.

Chad you have no excuses not to make it to Sonic. I'm planning driving down from Richmond. Think I've got a longer drive than anyone else.
I'm just playing.. I'll be there. I literally live 30 seconds away.

What did they say Chadwick?
Statefarm will not insure this vehicle.

Here is the story behind this;

The S2000 was at Inline Pro after the water damage; as that is the shop I chose to do the repair work. Statefarm's Claims Adjuster visited the shop to approve the work. When doing so, he noted in my account that the vehicle was 'modified'. Upon completion of the work I received a call from my local agent stating that the underwriter had been made aware of the modifications and would like a detailed list of the modifications, as well as photos. My agent came by, took pictures. She informed me that there were no intentions to drop me, only to ensure that they are accurately charging me for the modifications to vehicle since they are covering them.

The potential buyer for my vehicle is also a Statefarm customer. He called his agent who informed him she wouldn't insure a water damaged title vehicle. So we all chatted and then I got my insurance agent involved. My insurance agent then got a hold of her underwriter who said that they notated my VIN as 'ineligible for renewal'. They had intentions of mailing me the letter next month, 60 days prior to my renewal date.

She said it had do to with the fact that the vehicle is a previously water damaged vehicle and is lowered, making it more susceptible to having this happen again. Then, after much conversing with her the underwriter said it had nothing to do with the water damaged title, but instead due to the fact that the car is highly modified.

They said I would have to put the car back to 'manufacturer specifications' for Statefarm ever to accept this vehicle under their companies policy.

^That's dumb. I hate the way that insurance stuff works. I can understand from one side why they don't want to do it but then just charge a slightly higher premium and be done with it.

Think you could give me a ride in the s2k Chad?

I agree... other than this and a non-moving violation in 2009 (tint) my record has been crystal clear since 2004. I was even on their preferred customers list with the highest discount level... multiple vehicles, multiple lines (renters, motorcycle, cars), long term customer, 25+yrs old, & good record.
Oh well, their loss.

Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. You can see what the new numbers feel like!
