i think thats a prerequisite to owning an insight.

 

At 61mpg, I'd put 100 octane in it and still come out ahead.

 

My current DD gets about 29 mpg on 87 octane. The difference between 87 & 93 around here is anywhere from $.20-$.30. If you figure on the thirty-cent difference and assume a gallon of regular goes for $3.50, you would save $21.69 with the Insight per tankful in the Contour.

 

My Honda Interceptor gets 40mpg at 70mph on 87octane and is still a blast to ride. If you go with a little v-twin you'll see 60mpg. Scooters can be near 100mpg and still have the Honda badge.

You can take a motorcycle safety class, ride their bikes, and get your "M" class license before you lay out coin for a bike.

now... convincing your wife/mom that a bike is a good idea is another arguement :-)

 

I've tried that argument before... my mom says she'll kill me before the bike does.
