did anyone see this mornings paper? the window tint violation fine is 3x what it used to be. $287!!. the damn seatbelt fine is only(?!) $92. if you thought that was a money making scam by the city, this one takes the cake.

 

I seen it in yesterdays afternoon paper. I had an appointment to go have my windows tinted 5% last week, but something came up and I had to cancell. Im still going to tint my windows 5% sometime this month. I agree the fine is crazy.. I hope they reduce it so I dont have to pay that much in window tickets lol

 

sorry, that was yesterday's paper that i read this am. mine were just done at 13%. it looks way too good to take it off!

 

Thats crazy. Here its still $10 plus the $10 court fee if it goes to court. Cheap and it should be.

Yea, Hawaii's tint law bites. If you get tagged you going pay some dollars. If the cop is a prick, he'll tag you seperate fines for each window. Some serious dollars, I know from experience. I got fined for three windows in me truck, all seperate, not one price. It was killa. The whole tint issue is another way for the state to make money. Suckers are milking us. So you have be on high alert when driving, You see five O, roll dem windows down.

$10 for a tint ticket? Holly crap.. I would tint all my windows double 5% if that was the case here lol
