Default 4 SaLe! J's RaCinG EnGinE DaMpeR

Ok who wants a J's Engine Damper? I bought it from Evasive among other things and even bought the Spoon Engine Damper just to see which one I like better but me being a dumby bought the ARC Heat Shield which has no hole in it I think the Spoon will be spoken 4. I am selling this for what I bought it for = 245 (brand new)no shipping too If anyone is interested let me know... My number is down in my sig...

did you ever get to try either of the dampers to see if they made a difference?

Yes, I've tried the Spoon damper and it made a big difference when shifting. It has a more positive feel with little to no engine movement.

it reduces your engine torque from like 150 ft-lbs to about 130ft-lbs.

it dampens the engine movement when throttle on or off.

lol i didnt buy your first answer but why is a damper better for your engine? i thought letting the engine jiggle around was ok. i saw it in japan but my japanese was not good enough and i was too shy haha

if you think about it, the engine twists in the same way the gears turn. if you reduce that movement, then there is less loss or a more direct transfer of power rather than the engine tweaking first, then gears turn, and finally your car moves. its great for quick shifts i hear.
its the same thing with stiffer springs and bushings when you turn. turn the steering wheel, springs, and bushings compress, then the car turns. the stiffer the springs the less everything compresses before the car moves resulting in a quicker response.
