What makes the ap2 better than the ap1.?

no seriously. are they faster? more torque?

 

they are easier to drive faster. they're not necessarily faster.

and define faster/better.

1/4 mile et's show straightline traction and weight transfer capabilities. 1/4 mile trap speeds show horsepower. circuit lap times reflect the balance of power and handling. which categories are better?

 

the only thing i find is the better gearing, and revised rear subframe resulting in a stabler rear end and who can say no to stock 17's that weigh less?

 

AP2's have higher final drive gearing(i didn't confirm this), more torque (20lbs/ft?), same horsepower, suspension is tweaked so that the rear doesn't slide out as easy. Ummm...8k redline. That's all the performance stuff I could think of off the top of my head.

I would say overall it's "better," but I haven't owned one, I've only test driven it.

 

it only has like 10ft-lbs more right?. i know that the counter shaft? in the trans has a different ratio than the ap1 trans

 

therefore should i keep my ap1 and just mod it from there? cuz i think bout it imma spend "easy" over 7 more g's to get a ap2..

 

yea i would just keep the ap1 and spend the 7g's modding it!
