If you have recon on your car, does it affect your insurance rates?

I'm toying with the silly idea of recon. Wanna know the costs.

a cop stopped me yesterday and told me to get recon.

 

i'm gonna skip it this month. found out it cost a lot to get a rim fixed!! and it aint even that bad, but it wont pass recon! fukkers!

i think the key to recon is....get suspension and rims and get recon...then go all nuts on the car. when you get pulled over you'll have the decal, but dont show the officer you have the papers.

let him write you the ticket and then mail in a copy of you recon papers.

cause why? cause they can't check your papers agains the mods that you have.

and if the cop checks it when he pulls you over...he can take it away from you if you car is not exactly how it is stated on your recon papers. they can measure the height of the car and check tire size and everything. i think they can even void it if you have illegal tint.

but you didnt hear all that stuff from me.

no worries. I'm just seriously deciding if I am going to get recon when I mod my car. What's it gonna cost me?

I've heard lots of stories about recon being dumb and inconsistent and BS and ...

btw, I think I'm gonna go check out the SCCA autocross on sunday. I dunno if I'm gonna race yet. If I do, I'm gonna cruise. I'm still afraid of my car. I drive like a panty.
