Default Factory optional alarm

i still haven't got the optional alarm installed that i bought from Honda when i bought my car. it's gonna be installed at my next service. Anybody know exactly what it does? or doesn't do?

well there's the remote door lock thing that comes with the car. but there's also an optional supplemental alarm system that i bought with my car. it's dealer installed and i still haven't got it done yet.

it does the same things that all factory alarms do. like i think no more knock sensor, but it will go off when door or trunk is open, and it also has a ghost switch so you can get into the car w/o the remote and only key.

i done that before and omg!! the horn is fricken loud!!

yeah, a knock sensor would've been helpful when the delivery truck reversed into my car and i didn't know it. i was only 30 feet away from the car at the time.

Hmm you might want to invest in a hood sensor and verify that it has a shock sensor, to detect any shifts in weight too. The stock alarm may just be for the door/trunk being opened. Also might want to see if you can get a back-up power supply for the alarm too. You can never be too careful!
