Unfortunately not Oahu. Going to Maui for 6 days.
Any recommended tour companies? I am currently researching different activities to do.
Any suggestions appreciated. Looking for a lot of outdoor activities. Snorkeling, hiking to waterfalls, ATV riding, Sunrise downhill Volcano biking, etc.. Oh and of course a Luau.

O.K.
I will start off though my knowledge of the outer islands is very limited.
If you are going to Maui, you should make an effort to watch a sunrise from Haleakala. It is an extinct volcano with features like a martian landscape, but has a spectacular view from above the clouds of a Hawaiian sunrise. Bring something warm though, as you'll freeze if you bring just a t-shirt (unless you're one of those fools who take off their shirts during blizzard conditions while watching an NFL game in the stadiums). They also offer a bike ride down the mountain afterwards, though I do not know the cost as I did not do this. It's downhill pretty much all the way and I hear that it's fun, though treacherous if you don't watch your speed!
There is nothing going on after 10 p.m. when I went there. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I don't know where the night spots are on Maui. There are many other things to see and do on Maui and I'm sure others will chime in.

Just got back from Kaua'i. I was there for 2 weeks and this was my 4th time in 5 years and my G/F's first time. Lot's of redevelopment there and it's sad to see most of the new development in Poipu is vacant. There was a huge fire by the old sugar mill in Poip'u while we we're there and 2 houses burnt down. Scary stuff. All in all it's hard to leave such a great place. I'll be back next year.

Thread resurrection... heading to Oahu for 9 nights in early September. Just checking the forums to see if the S2KI locals have some input on cool things to do!
We like surfing, hiking, snorkeling, food, sight seeing, etc. Should we travel to other islands for a day trip?
We are staying in Laie.
