Been thinking of doing this for a while, just wondering where most of you have purchased your final drive gear and who/where it was installed. Thanks.

I purchased a fully assembled differential with 4.57's from hardtopguy.com and swapped it out in my garage with the rear of the car on jackstands. There's a really good DIY in "Under the Hood" for swapping differenitals. Other than that I would try Sonics first.

 

definitely get the HTG built diff.

 

I think I am going to start looking around for a empty pumpkin over the next few mounths and build my own diff with the 4.57's.

 

I got an extra diff if you need it. Made a lot of noise but still worked fine. Havent opened it up to check it out yet. I got my 4.57 gears installed at Pearl City Auto Works. Bought from ricks2k.com. Best mod Ive done.

Yup cuz the s/c wouldnt be the same with out it.
