IMO, Best pizza joint in islands is this place called BJ's, but it's on Maui @ Lahina. Krip pizza!

 

You don't need to go to that particular region of the world to experience authenticity. All you need to do is find where FOBs go. You mentioned that 9/10 Chinese families order cake noodles at your restaurant? I am guess that most of them are 3rd or 4th generation, right? In my opinion, their taste in Chinese cuisine is far removed from what is mainstream in China/Taiwan; it's not authentic.

As for my choice of Outback Steakhouse and Assagio.. Like I said, I don't know real Italian food and defer to other members to recommend places. Of course I love to eat at Morton's or Ruth Chris, but I ain't a balla with a $1k/month expense account. If it's my money, I would go to Outback Steakhouse or cook it at home.

 

Okay now I want pizza....lol and the T-Rex wants meat....when are we eating?! hahaha

 

i almost OD'd last nite. had tenderloin at orchids for lunch and a succulent porkchop at 12th ave grill for dinner. betty has southern rubbed ribeye with peppercorn and tomato/potatoes.

addisonc- sorry, i wasn't comparing dollar values of the food. just the best tasting. some places do charge way too much for meals.

also, i don't think that 1st gen/2nd gen/etc. makes a difference. you eat what tastes good whether it's authentic/original or not. nobody said authentic tastes the best.
