Default Headlight Clearing

I'm going to try and clear the headlights on my 01 today. I wanted to make sure that I had the correct bulbs before I started.

I read a few threads and it seems that peolple just colored there bulb to make it amber.

Is it possible to buy an Amber bulb for the S on island or should I just color that thing?

Thanks

I just left the stock amber bulbs in, not very obvious. But if you really want silver bulbs that flash amber I would go with Silvania Silverstar bulbs.

Anyone feel like helping that knows how to do this?

I already have the car apart and the headlights are sitting on my counter. I put them in the oven and that didn't go to well. I'm going to try it with the heatgun and my brother.

If anyone wants to lend a hand give me a call at 808-428-0502.

I used the DIY in the technical FAQ. Didn't have any problems using the oven, what do you mean by "It didn't go too well", that sounds bad. I can help but not until tomorrow.

Me and my brother got it off. I wanted to clean the inside of my lights because after I cleaned the engine a few months back it seemed like condensation built up in their. I tried using plexus and plastic cleaners but nothings getting the foggy look out. Does anyone think that waterspot remover might work?

I really only did it because it looked dirty on the inside so if I can't get it cleaned I"m going to be pretty pissed.

How did you clean the engine a few weeks back? If some chemicals or steam caused the fogging you may be stuck with it.

I cleaned out the engine a while back, like 3 or 4 months ago. About a week after I did that I saw that condensation built up in the headlight housing. I tried water spot remover and it didn't help.

I cleared the headlights and cleaned it up as good as I could get it. That was a pain in the ass.
