I've personally given up on buying used parts (or deeply discounted deals from upstart vendors) unless it's from a friend. Not worth the headache.

thanks steve. i guess learning the hard way is the only way to learn. im officially done with used parts and cars. when this is resolved i will put the s/c kit up for sale, complete or not.
