ohhhhhhhhhhhh snaaaaaaaapppppppppppppp!!!!!
just got rear ended yesterday. by some effin military guy. no offense to military people. but this guy was younger. do not know what the hell they guy was doing, drinking, talking on his cell phone? was at a red light at an intersection, and he plowed into the back of me. felt like he hit my car so hard, that i thought the whole rear end was crushed. he was driving a full size 2008 chevy silverado pick-up. it took every ounce of concentration, not to go and kick that guy's ass..... didn't even see it coming. just heard tire screeching, then heard a loud bang. bumper is history, tore in a couple places and will need to be replaced, trunk got hit also is all bent and out of alignment. also the left taillight and trunk slightly pushed in. hopefully will be able to save the trunk. trunk still opens and closes. luckily the quarter panels look they were untouched. they guy have insurance luckily. still have to get my insurance come look at the damage on my vehicle.
my insurance deductible is $500. but my question is do you still have to pay that deductible. even if it wasn't your fault and someone hit you? i was thinking if you are rear ended by someone and it is completely their fault, their insurcance company should have to cover everything, from the deductable, to the repairs for the car to hospital bills if any. and maybe even some kind of compensation for your pain and suffering.
i just want my car fixed as good as it possibly can. without haveing to replace too much parts. i want every body panel to still have the vin# if possible. but the bumper is history(torn in 4 places)

The perp's insurance should cover everything with no out of pocket to you, including rental car costs. From my experience, they will not compensate for loss of market value, pain and suffering unless you bring an attorney into the picture. Helps your case if he was also cited for DUI, speed, cell phone etc.
Sucks to be a victim of such an idiot, hope you can work it out with the insurance company.

you can pay the deductable and speed up the repair and when they get the money from the other insurance company they will reimburse you. but you should talk that over with your insurance company. that is just what mine said when i got backed up in to.

we'll still see you around... right?
