is aem ems series 1 still ne good? cheap ones going on ebay recently...
or should just save the money for a series 2?
whats the differences?
series 1 will cause hard starts and will require a modifry temp fix for your temp gauge to work.
http://www.modifry.com/products/ect/index.htm
typical interface with series 1 are with a serial port. there may be usb models.
tuning is supposedly easier with series 2 and the hard starts was remedied. i may be missing something though.

the initial issue with series 2 is no serial gauge which now works.

per aem, see below:
Support Pane gives tuners context sensitive help and uses tuners’ actual calibrations to describe each function.
Maps can be password protected by the tuner to prevent unauthorized usage or sharing.
Internal conflict detection notifies tuner if obvious errors exist in assignment of inputs/outputs.
Compare Calibrations allows tuners to graphically compare tables and maps for easy analysis.
Workspaces are easily customizable and configurable.
Colored tables and maps.

Well I'm sure you can use a series 1 and have the hard starts taken care of by a good tuner, no?

so i have been extremely bored here at work for the past day since i left hawaii and decided to compile a pdf document that has every single OEM factory part, the part number, description, and price from hondapartsunlimited.com since jeff at hardtopguy has been getting really bad rep as of lately and hondaaccessories.com doesnt exactly give you a good deal on oem replacement parts...once i have it completed it will make it easier to look for parts (each section will have its on reference picture) and order them from wherever you choose whether its straight from honda or any other oem website...if anyone wants one of these just shoot me a PM and i will email it to you or felipe or alex could sticky it on the thread
