The Official Rambling Thread
ya know...i wonder how far we can get into a song if we all added one line?...naw that wouldnt work cause if someone couldnt remember they would just look it up...meh changed my mind on the asm siren...heard too many shitty reviews on it...how the performance is not worth 4grand, etc, etc...only asm whores would buy it *cough cough* felipe
^I'm sure Felipe will chime in but the siren was designed to meet stricter Japanese noise regulations, not just to improve power. to do that they eliminated packed mufflers/resonaters. the exhaust should last longer with little change in volume. how much longer is still TBD.
I agree that from a performance perspective the siren costs too much. you're better off going with a 70mm+ single.

for me, i wanted the quietest possible vortech'd s2k. granted a stock exhaust will do the same but the packing will eventually deteriorate over time.
the siren is a definite weight and slight performance upgrade hopefully sound will never be an issue.
i'm not sure how long the siren will last but i have a peace of mind i have a quality product that is rare as well

i understand the logic behind the asm siren...i just cant justify 4k+shipping for a product that is equal to oem if not slightly better...its all opinion...i like the raw sound of a honda engine and it should be heard with our cars...there is an exhaust i want but its only sold in japan...legato sports...uber hot...too bad it wont work...now if the siren was the same price as the s-special i would get it
i just can't wait till felipe gets his car put together =)
