Whats up fellas. There is a possibility i may be moving to honolulu for work. I was wondering if you guys could give me some info on the area such as nice areas to live, Prices of living, the difference in lifestyles and so on... Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

 

Hawaiiinvestor.com is a good place to start when it comes to lookin at the various prices in housing...

Depending on where you are going to work etc, traffic can get hellish in the morning.

Cost of living here is quite high, so be prepared for that. Rent averages from 700-1200 a month etcetc.

Lifestyles change isn't drastic. Primarily asian here..to some ppl who have moved here, they had culture shock haha.

I'm about to hit up some of that traffic now going to work...haha

where exactly is your potential working place?

personally, i live and work on the west side of oahu. 15 minute commute from my home to work and back = 10 miles
bad traffic typically consists of from the west into town (honolulu) in the AM and from town to west in the PM.
my old commute was about 30-40 minutes for a 10 mile stretch good luck!

 

for some reason the main hub of traffic backing up is the pearl ridge/aiea off ramp???
