I just picked up this shift knob from supersonic_blue (John) and installed it this afternoon. I really like the feel of it. It reduces the height of the shifter by about an inch. It has a bigger circumference and fits better in my hand.

If anyone wants to give it a try, let me know. It's a cinch to switch out with the stock knob. They only run about $26 for the one I have (much more for the titanium version).
