Default tint issues

hey guys, i just got my car back from my tinter, and he said he had to use 38% tint, instead of the 35%...he said the 35% made it too dark, and showed up as 26% on his tint meter...with the 38%, the meter read 34%...

weird huh??? the s2k windows have a bluish hue to them, but i never figured it would affect the tint that much...anyway, i'm happy with the result...i take all my cars to this guy, he did 7 or 8 or my previous cars...

just wondering if this happened to anyone else...

We are untinted right now. rstark had used a static cling tint for the plastic rear window for those who have a 2000 or 2001.

i used to have that on former bmw...and i have it now on the back window of my M3..what i did was tint the car to legal specs, then add the static cling tint...that way i'd just peel it when i went for safety checks, and put it back on once i got it...i took off the ones on the side windows, as i got pulled over for it once...

-but i pulled it off in front of the cop, and he let me go with a warning

and steven, my car shall stay stock, my car shall stay stock, my car shall stay stock,my car shall stay stock,my car shall stay stock...

actually, it has a few minor mods- the exhaust and some gauges...i'm TRYING to just leave it at that for now...but some rims would be nice...

i'll get some pix after i wash the car (hopefully later today)...

honestly, i dont know how people here cannot have tint on their cars...it helps out A LOT keeping the car cool, and cutting down on glare...

anywayz, i'll probably have some pics later today...

It doesn't help me because I never have the top up except when it's raining.
