Default Valve Adjustment Help

Hey everyone,
My name's Jordon and I'm a proud new AP1 owner and was wondering if anyone has done a valve adjustment themselves? I consider myself pretty handy but after reading the tutorials, it seems to be a bit much for me. The car has around 83k miles on it and I don't know if the previous owner has ever done an adjustment.

I can hear a slight tapping noise when revving to around 3grand and higher although my friends who have tried listening to it tell me I'm hearing things. I don't know....I also tried taking it to a shop here in Kaneohe that I used to take my Hondas to get work done years ago to see if he could do the adjustment or even listen to the car for the noise and he looked at me like I was crazy and making it up. "Valve adjustment? S2000? whats that?!....No I don't do that."

I'm not even sure if the noise is due to the valves....

So I need help. If any owners out there could possibly help me out, check out and listen to my car, do a valve adjustment if needed as well as help me with changing some of the fluids(trans, diff), spark plugs and any other preventative work I would greatly appreciate it. I would of course pay you for it and for anyone else who would like to help/watch I will have beers/food. I have a good size covered garage with basic tools so can do the work here. Id rather pay a knowledgeable S owner than to take it to a shop to have the work done but if no one here can or has the time I would also take suggestions for good shops that could diagnose and do the work.

This car is my DD so I want to make sure everything is fresh and running good before UH gets back in session and I have to drive into town and back everyday.

Thanks!

Search is currently not working for some reason, anyone can confirm the part #'s for the retainers & keeper?

I have an AP1 and want to upgrade to the AP2 on the intake side.

Thanks
