windsheild chips
anyone have to get thier windshield replaced or fixed? i just got a chip in my glass and was wondering how much it costs and where to get it fixed or replaced.
dang i had my window preplaced by these guys..i cant remember what their names was. i got their business card from hyper sports... they just come and change the glass like mobile kine. i think it was about $450 for ppg glass and a new oem moulding. only took them about 20minutes.

I've used Charlie's like Colin mentioned. He's an older guy that can fill the chips very quickly, he comes to where you are at a mall, home, work or whatever.
The problem with chips is that they start to spread. Particles and such contaminate the chip, water gets in, temps expand causing the "spider web" effect. If it's bad enough, it may force you to fail safety inspection.

my truck for instance had a chip on the way to work. i parked it in the sun for about three houra and the crack was 2 1/2 feet long when i got back.
my s has tons of chips, guess that's partly cuz i drive primarily in the airport indutrial area. my headlights look sandblasted!
