what were your impressions of this part? I am aware that unlikely to give more than a 1-2hp difference- but how was throttle response. Will it fit an ap2? does it require modification (aside from removing old stuff) to install?

 

I was extremely happy with this air filter and the throttle response. The stock filter box wasn't that bad either, but it more restrictive in design than this one. The thing I liked about this over other CAI was the fact I didn't have to worry about sucking up water into the engine. In a place like California, high water may not be that that great of a concern. In Houston however, it is part of our life.

This was installed on my 2004 S2k so yes, it is AP2 compatible.

The only permanent modification necessary for this box is that you have to grind down the plastic end on your hood holder.
