Default Alternative Filters for the Comptech CAI?

I have purchased a used comptech CAI. It does not have the comptech filter. I have been really satisfied with my K7N and would like to keep it if possible. I was wondering if alternative filters could be used with the Comptech setup.
thanks

Try the Racing Akimoto Series 3 or 4 filter or if you don't mind changing
filters 2x/year, a very good foam filter (Weapon R Dragon, Blitz, Spoon)
is a good choice. Also, the Kool Blue filters I hear are very good.

I might be interested in the Akitmoto.
So, have you made an airbox yet?

I bought an open ended cone OBX filter and works fine. Seems like it has more surface area than K&N.

Assuming the CAI has the same or similar air box to the SC you can use a K&N with 6 inch opening.

The Comptech fitting is 5 1/2 inch so I used some rubber strip and glued it around the inside of the filter opening. I made sure any oil was cleaned off the surface and used a contact adhesive and clamps.

This thread fails!

AFE 24-55507 or AFE 24-55505 seem to be good afe filters for the comptech iecbox.

I do not have K&N P/Ns but could someone post?
