Default Car Broken Into.....

Yep, I wake up this morning and of coursse, the seats were stolen, the steering wheel was stolen, and my new voodoo shift knob was stolen also.

I just got the new shift knob from Ricks yesterday. Nice.

None of the neighbors heard anything because it happened during the middle of the night.

So now I'm going to be watching the local car boards like a hawk and see if any S2000 stuff shows up for sale all of a sudden.

It was a pretty clean rip off job also, no scratches anywhere, so the scumbags that stole everything obviously knew what they were doing.

I've only had the car for a month and some ****ing lowlife has to ruin it for me already.

And yes, I haven't ordered the seat locks yet because I had the "it can't happen to me mentality". I live in a pretty nice neighborhood so I guess I had a false sense of security.

****ing scumbags

I guess accidently leaving the car unlocked was good in a way because those pieces of shit didn't slash the top or break the window.
wow, you left it unlocked?? there should be an auto-lock setting on the power lock system if you have to park it outside.

sorry to hear about the theft though. seats sell all the time on ebay and i wonder how many are legit.

At least they didn't damage the car along the way. Sorry to see and hear what happened to you. Don't let the thieves run your life though.

I think the seat locks may prevent thieves from taking the seats easily, but it will piss them off and you could have more damage to the car as a result. I am not a thief, so I am not sure what they'd think if they broke into a car and saw seat locks.

Does anyone know how much the seats, owner's manual and steering wheel are worth pricewise?

I know my voodoo cost $45. I just want to get a rough estimate on everything pricewise.

That really is terrible. I guess you did luck out with leaving it unlocked and without seat locks. Probably they would have done more damage if you had locked the car and had seat locks. Why do you think they stole your registration?

Sorry to hear that. Where do you live? Ill keep a lookout for seats for sale on ebay since i go there all the time. You didnt have an Alarm on yours did you? I bought a $600 Clifford 10.5 2 way Alarm for my S2000. I know it might be nothing to the pro's but to the amatures it makes it more difficult for them.
