Spun S2K 360+ yesterday :(
Yeah, so I accidentally spun my S2K during a normal 90degs turn.
The scary fact is it happened on the traffic intersection. It was bloody wet after quite a heavy rain. And no I didn't intend to spin or tried to do anything ridiculous. In a matter of fact, I slowed down.
There I was ~30-40 km/h into corner. S2K felt unstable with tail started to pull. Then for some silly reason my right foot slightly touched the gas pedal, brought speed up to ~40ish km/h then the inevitable happened. Shocked after half-spin I braked and ended up spun more than 360degs (390degs I think) with 50% of the car on the other road's lane.
It was a miracle that I didn't hit road kerb and traffic was low. It could very easily become a disaster there. I don't want to know what other drivers on the road must be thinking. Just fortunate enough I could recover from the incident unscathed.
This was probably the 3rd time I spun my S2K and definitely not proud of it.
Any similar experience? Suggestions are also welcomed!

I'm sure you already know this -- but braking while spinning, especially in poor conditions is a no-no! Increasing throttle into the turn with poor traction was bad too, but its pretty obvious you know that was bad.
Glad to hear you didn't hit anything though, be safe out there!

First thing that came to my mind when spinning was to brake asap.

I think if people were to apply the basic principles of motorcycles, and applying them to the S2000, then they would be safer drivers. Such as proper weight transfer, when to hit the brakes vs. the throttle, braking into a turn (never during the turn) and accelerating out of the turn, etc.
Thank god you didn't damage the car, pride took a bit of a bashing, but if you don't make mistakes you can't learn from them
Any good guides on how to correct your car if something like this happens??

The rule of thumb I have always lived by is "if you spin, both feet in" (brake and clutch). The brake gets the car slowed fast and the clutch keeps the car from stalling, so you can make a quick exit once you have regained control (this is especially important on a track as you may likely end up in a unsafe spot). Some people may disagree with this, but I have always seen more issues come about (track and street) when someone is trying to save the car.

Its rare for me to drive the S2000 in wet conditions anymore, but I have two comments:
1)I always use EXTREME caution when its even SLIGHTLY damp. The S2000 quite squirrely in wet conditons. You can not be too careful with the S2000 in wet weather.
2)I NEVER let my tires get below 50% tread before replacing them. Not only because of the grip issues in the wet, but also due to every time I get new tires I am always amazed how much grip I had lost gradually over time and not really noticed. TONS of tread=TONS of grip.
Glad to hear no one was hurt.
