Congrats to Jason Saini
That is really cool. It's good to see a guy work his way up the ranks from the grassroots nature of autocross to (one of) the top touring car series in this country. Even better is that he is a local guy and a former S2000 owner.
Congrats Jason. I didn't know that he had moved to the Speed World Challenge Touring Car series (replacing Champion Randy Pobst!!) until reading an article in this month's SportsCar.
That's quite amazing. He was also in the most recent Grassroots Motorsports showing off his "pro" skills in a spec miata. I remember seeing posts from him on here. Congratulations! I'll have to watch the race.

Do you mean Speed World Challenge Touring - where he is vs Speed World Challenge Grand Touring where 911s, Vipers and so play?
I would assume without even looking, he is in touring as Mazda doesn't have a GT class auto (yet). My perspective, if I had to pick nits would be that Touring is the more competitive of the 2 classes (making his accomplishment even more remarkable) but both classes have the highest level of everything we have seen in US RoadRacing since the real Trans Am series of the sixties/seventies.

Cool! Now he's racing my cousin's team. (and apparently crushed them at Miller)
I should be able to see him then at road america.
