As some of you know, I've been coming to this forum for awhile waiting on my S2K (will be here in Nov). Recently I have started looking into the WRX. I went and test drove 2 of them yesterday and they did feel fast. So now I am stuck trying to choose between these two cars. I just want some advice. Here is my list so far:

S2K Pro:
Nice Interior
Styling (Much better looking)
9000 rpm
True Sports car
Handling
HID
6 Speed
Convertible
Just more of a complete performance package

S2K Con:
Not AWD
Not a Turbo
Expensive to Mod
More expensive
Damn Diff
Easier to wreck (driver errors)
More expensive to maintain (Tires, etc)

WRX Pro:
Turbo
AWD
Easy and cheap to mod (Low 13's with around 2K invested)
Inexpensive
Fun and safe in any weather

WRX Con:
The interior really sucks (Build quality is bad)
Ugly as hell
4 Door
Not a true sports car, its a rally car
5 Speed
No Sunroof

What really turns me off the most about the WRX is the interior. The build quality is worse than a Camaro. even the Momo steering wheel is not as good as the S2K wheel. I suppose what I need to decide on is if I really am the modding type, or just the status / driving type. I'm really more of a combination of both. I keep flip-flopping, but whatever I decide to do, I'll have great respect for each car.

If anyone has experience with both cars, I'd love to hear from you.

Added no sunroof for WRX con and Convetible for S2K Pro. I would like a sunroof/Targa/T-tops, or a convertible.

go to i-club.com and ask the same question

i do believe someone said on i-club that a sunroof is easily do-able by this aftermarket part company.

get the WRX if you want to carry your family around. if i can afford it i'd get both cars.

Same question is posted there (i-club). From what I have heard, the body structure relies on the roof for stiffness and a sunroof would take away from this. So adding one is out of the question.

Right now, I am about to get married (in a year or 2), but kids won't be in the picture for another 5 years. But if my soon to be wife does get pregnant, the S2K goes bye bye, but the WRX could stay...

Don't forget :

S2K Con:
Only seats 2

WRX Pro:
seats 4 (rear seat similar in roominess to a civic)
large trunk

WRX Con:
Ugly as hell
Ugly as hell
oh, did I mention ugly as hell?

If this is your secondary car, then there would be no question.
Luckily I have another car. Unfortunately my brother has borrowed it for like 2 months now so I can't haul people around...

The WRX has been proven to be a de-tuned turbo car. People are getting low 13's on the stock turbo with around 2K in mods. But you are correct, a turbo doesn't always mean mod-ability alone.
