Default My 04 Dyno (kinda low)

Done on a dynojet, really hot outside, car was running on freeway for an hour to get there, and they put it on the machine immediately. No fan was blowing in front of the car either. But in anycase here it is.

The 220's i was seeing were from Dynapacks if i'm not mistaken. Those are the dyno's when you remove your wheels and the machine bolts up to your hubs. In any case, I was expecting more than 201whp. There was an SRT4 there pounding down 221whp, but I think it was slightly modded.

GRC is a domestic kind of place. Its in Mission Viejo. Dyno run was $45 for 2 runs. I only tagged along with a friend who was dyno'ing his Eclipse V6. He got a robust 153 whp, so I didn't feel too bad.

Nope sorry MY04 puts down 210-215 easy at the wheels if you're putting down 201, with the conditions you're talking about it's probably heat soak. I'm sure UL will chime in but isn't the lack of a fan blowing air a big no no? There are alot of variables with doing a proper dyno. Ideally you want to know intake temps etc, to make sure you have a consistent experiment.

Edit: also another big thing? What is your mileage? Mine was done at 3K....probably going to do another baseline at 10K

I thought fans were essential when dyno'ing a car. I was thinking major heat soak was the issue. Sounded badass on the dyno though, hearing vtec roaring at 8k.

Oh, i had approx. 5500 miles on the odometer.

MY02, 10,000 miles, (only mod, otherwise stock) honda civic 3"diameter short ram intake, 100 degrees, 100 percent humidity in July in Clearwater , Florida 2003.

Is a car with 210WHP gonna smoke a car with 200WHP . . . . NO . As long as you're around 200 WHP somewhere we are all evenly matched.
