I am getting a 'bucking' throttle response sometimes in first or even second gear, usually when accelerating from low speed. It has happened occasionally on gentle hills as well as on the flat. If I either back off or floor it then it goes all right but this is not always good to do when in traffic.
It seems that this is a dynamic oscillation of my foot on the pedal, coupled with some looseness in the driveline. In my civic, I can get a similar effect if I let got the seat ratchet while acceleration. Please don

Depress clutch, let off gas; release clutch while simultaneously applying power. Repeat, if necessary. It happens to me sometimes after going over those damn speed-bumps in parking lots or child-filled streets.

Happens to me more when the engine is colder.

Can drive you a bit nuts and makes you look a bit amateurish! Just do as lvs2k said and that'll fix it.

Believe it or not --- put your foot to the floor! This will stop it.

There is an old thread about this --- it's like the old Offy Indy cars, they used to do the same thing. Too low an rpm for the gear.

There is another thread talking about this, particularly when in traffic in higher temps. Its beleived to be the IAT sensor (Intake Air Temp) if you search you may find the thread talking about getting this replaced.

I think this is normal on a manual transmission. I had it in my '88 Integra, and also on a '71 VW Squareback. Happens at very low rpm, not all the time though, just push in the clutch.

Most manuall transmission cars will do this at a very low rpm, it is a function of available tourque (remember we don't have much at high RPM's - never mind at 1200 to 1500) and throttle position.

happens once in a blue moon to me and it is quite annoying. i feel as if i am doing nothing wrong and it just starts jolting on its own. its like im at the rodeo. i guess its normal if others experience it as well.
