i have a persistent rattle that comes from the light assembly in the interior of the car, where the reading lights are. anyway when driving with gusto, it makes a rattling noise and when u tap it with your fingers it also rattles, rather like a tapping noise.
i took it to my dealer and they removed the plastic light assembly and it was the wiring which had come off its hooks and was tapping on the windshield frame, problem solved.
just thought u would like to know if u have a similar problem.

 

If you would have kept the black s2k you never would have had this problem

 

Had the same rattle that sounded like it was in the dash until the 4th trip to the dealer and them test driving with a mechanic's head across the dash. That's when they discovered what you did, it was in the light. They fixed it, but te rattle is back a week later. I'll give them another shot at it. They insulated the entire dashboard before they figured out where the rattle was coming from the first time.

 

I have also discovered and fixed a similar rattle coming from the passenger side sun visor......It too sounded as if it were coming from the dash.

 

I'm surprised you guys can hear a rattle at all. With the top down, I can barely hear anything in the car.
