Mitch and I are going to replace the oil bolts in our cars on Saturday 18 Jan. and invite anyone whos interested to come by to see the show. In case you don't know about this issue, here are 2 links to comprehensive threads on the matter:
1) A very thorough discussion of the problem https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=79190
2) Prolene's outline of doing the replacement https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=84710

If you're interested in seeing this done or just want to come by to hang out, send a PM to me and I'll give you directions to the "garage". We'll be starting the work at around 08:00, and it will probably take 3-4 hours to do both cars.

I'd like to do that on mine too. Did you all buy the parts from H and A?

Yes I did. You're welcome to join us and do the work in my driveway - we'll have a tech party! All you'll need to bring are the parts and 4 jackstands. Oil bolts cost $10.38 each and you'll need 4, Honda Part# 15290-PCX-000. Here's the link: http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000maint.html If you order now, you may be able to go with standard shipping, otherwise, they do offer 2-day (and overnight?) service.

Also, since you need to drain the oil to do the work, it's a good opportunity to perform an oil change, so don't forget a new oil filter and drain plug washer. I just changed my oil, so I'll just re-use the oil in my car.
