Default Update to the update on the European Service "recall" (Oil Bolts)

After talking my parts guy regarding the topic of the European only service update aka recall found here:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=69568

I did some research with my parts guy and found out there are two part #s for the banjo Oil bolt responsible for spraying oil underneath the pistons. I'm having both old and new bolts ordered, should be about a week or so as the bolts are on back-order so we will finally see if there is an updated bolt to the "lack of lubrication" problem found in European cars. The part # for the new bolt hasn't really been released but it is on backorder. More answers to be had soon enough...

Good idea! I can't wait to see what the bolts you get look like.

How'd you find a Honda parts guy with enough brains to find the European part number who's also willing to order the part? Hold on to this guy...

Are you saying you can't tell us the part #? Or that you found they were backordered without having a part #?

I'm good friends with the owners of the dealer, I've been going back and forth there so many times I can't remember and the whole dealership knows me, so they are helping me out on this. It's really no big deal.

Now what about the modified transmission fluid inlet? (not sure exactly what it is called, but wasn't there a new one released in a TSB in Europe that has a modified spout for pulling the fluid out of the sump when excessive G-forces prevent the normal inlet from working?

Any word on this part?

At http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ you can find diagrams and part number for the different year models.

However, I couldn't find any significant differences between model year '00 and '02 as far as the transmission problem is concerned..

In the referenced thread, Ronald posted this pic:

Are you saying that the part # pictured is not the part # of the new (or old) banjo bolts?
