In case you were wondering, here's the USA sales numbers:

calendar year sales:

1999 = 3,400
2000 = 6,797
2001 = 9,682

Total = 19,829

BTW, does anyone have a source for S2000 sales elsewhere; I'm no longer able to access the Japanesee web site for their sales, I quess the site has moved or is down ... I have everything except the Nov/Dec 2001.

I have been wondering where these were! Would a moderator put this in the FAQ so that we can try and squash the stupid "5,000 a year" dealer lie? It would be really interesting to see color breakdown too but that is probably asking a bit much!

For two model years the numbers are still low...I think...

Does anyone know what the productions numbers are for SLK, or Boxster?

But it would of been nice for the dealer to tell the truth just once!!

Oliver, can you share the source of your Honda numbers?

I'm puzzled by the German total for 2000 = 1478. I had data from another source, Honda if I recall correctly, that stated the total sales for Europe for 2000 = 1179. Which would be less than your numbers for Germany.

BTW, for anyone interested the numbers for Japan:

1999 = 7209
2000 = 3422
2001 = 1617 (10 months)

The only number I've seen for Canada:

2000 = 332

You would think that for that low of numbers you really wouldn't see that many S2K's on the road. I see one every few days down here. Guess CA got the majority of the S2K's for the US.
