Default Where to mount two amps?!?!

Hey guys,

After doing a lot of reading of previous posts I haven't really seen exactly where to install two moderate sized amps. No one really knew or didn't post pictures. Any ideas from anyone? And also, could you please post pics and how you did it so I can get an idea of what to say to the installers. Thanks for everyone's help!!!

Tyler

I'm partial to under-seat installs to save precious trunk space. There's more room under the driver's seat than the passenger seat. Your amp widll have to be relatively s to retain the full travel of the seat If you remove the trunk lining panels next to the spare tire, you may be able to mount one to the left of the spare...

I will probably mount my CD changer under the drivers seat. Currently i have a small amp under the passenger seat but i'm gonna take that out. The passenger side seat seems to small to mount either of my amps. The trunk is probably my best bet.

My questions are these about the trunk. If I remove the lining panel I would like to have some type of carpetting behind the amp to cover up the insides of the car. Where would I be able to find carpetting that matches the car trunk lining carpet? Also. If I want to fit two amps shoudl i remove the spare? I would rather not, just in case. But it appears I may not have an option on that. What are your thoughts? Thanks!!

hrm... along this same line of thought - i'm planning to mount my highs amp to the left of the spare and near the fuel filler - what methods are being used to fix it in place. the amp is a tight fit, but not so wedged in there that i'm not worried about movement...

thoughts?

I moved my amp out of the trunk and mounted inside the spare tire. My second amp I sold and purchased a changer that will be mounted in the secret compartment, so the only thing in my trunk will be the JL Stealthbox.

That secret compartment can barely hold my checkbook and a girlfriend's purse...how are people fitting anything in there?

I've seen several cd changers mouted in there. I've got my fused power distribution block in there under a false floor. Makes getting to those fuses quick and easy!
