Default subtle high pitched rattling sound

Has anyone else experienced a subtle high pitched rattling sound when travelling over bumps? i thought it may have just been when the roof is up, but it seems to be happening even when it's down... not sure exactly where it is coming from or if it is just one of those general noises that the roof seems to make??

I had this high pitch sqeaky noise after I installed my mag wheels!! It's sounds like what you are having at the moment.

There was a thread earlier about this, but it seems like they were very upsetted about it. They checked and sprayed everything

It's not driving me mad as yet.........I will be interrested to find out what is the problem with your car though

i did have a flat tyre recently and had to replace a rear tyre??? could it be that the tyre may not be on properly? The noise is very subtle but seems to be coming somewhere from the rear...

Do you think a Honda dealer may know what the problem is?

I took it for another drive to try and work it out and it seems like the noise is coming from under the car. Possibly the suspension? It's only when I drive over bumps. This thread sort of describes it...

Although the noise doesn't seem to be coming from the front bonnet?

Could it be the exhaust pipe or the mufflers?

Lots of people report the spare wheel rattles if it's not locked down properly. You'll hear a metallic noise from down between the seats and to the back. Take out the spare wheel, check for loose wires etc that might be knocking on it, and put it back in again, carefully positioning it and tightening it down very firmly.

Thanks for your help so far guys-

I also found this thread which covers most of the common rattles (quite a good read) and will try and go through these first to sort it out...

In terms of the spare, even though I did recently have to change the tyre, I didn't move or take out the spare, only took the cover off so unless something has come loose by itself, am thinking it is not that...

Mine used to rattle for no good reason. There are also loose wires in there that can vibrate on parts of the chassis or the spare wheel. It's worth checking.

I had the spare wheel thingy too. Drove me mad for awhile, and I thought, "can't be the spare" and didn't bother looking. My dad though decided to check it anyway...A few seconds later he called me out and showed me how loose the spare tire was. So I tightened up the bolt and all fixed.

I'd never touched the thing before.
