i like this:

Track performance is something every prospective S2000 owner should consider, because there's little reason to buy one unless it's going to spend some time on a race course.

So they *did* lower the VTEC engagement point but didn't state what it comes on at.

Carbon fiber sychronizers? Sounds like H did a good job of freshening up the old Stook.

Pure sports car for sure. The originals were and are the true throwback pure sportscar!

more compromised but still hard edged. Seems like they got rid of the snap oversteer. That should help keep many a S2000 off the ditches on the side of the road somewhere.

Suspension tuning +
softer ride -
compromised engine -
carbon fiber synchros ++

Looks like Honda DID make it softer, or in other words more for the common driver.
Still a great car but not as much a purist car the like 2.0.
Track time comparison will not be fair with the wider tires and different pads.

Still a wonderful drivers car for reasonable dollars.
