Just to add my 2 cents...

I took my S at the track, a year after owning it and I loved it! I learned a lot about the car and myself. I pushed it to "our" limits and it made me glad I bought the car.

I also enjoy the car everytime I drive (at or close to the speed limit) to the local grocery store and back. I drop the top, crank up the tunes (as much as possible with a stock 2000 sound system) and smile.

Now, as my only car (for now), it's value to me hasn't decreased because I'm not hitting redline or sliding around the corners constantly. Whether sitting in a New Jersey traffic jam or whipping thru some rural twisties it's still exactly what I wanted -- a fun, convertible sports car that has more potential waiting under the gas pedal then I will need or use on most days; just knowing that potential is there makes me smile.

oh yeah. And 2004 has 2 cup holders!?!?!?

that would be so nice for all those nights my friend and I drive to Bingo or Target and she has to hold her coffee! Now, if they would incorporate an ashtray and a cigarette lighter...

Russ,
You're getting pretty worked up and while I see your point, the writer of the article has a valid point also. Anyone pushing this car anywhere near 10/10's on the street/canyon is putting themselves and others in danger. There are simply too many variables on the street to push this car anywhere near it's limits safely. While I wouldn't want any other car when I am up in the canyons playing, I could easily go as fast as I'm willing to go on a public road in many inferior vehicles. Anyone who owns this car SHOULD spend some time on a racetrack, or at least hitch a ride with someone, to really understand what it's capable of.

I'm with Russ.

Some people buy the car for the entire package(handling and the experience of the interaction with the machine).
