Interesting read!

According to this VTEC is still around 6000RPM:

From Edmunds:
" a new master cylinder and a new ABS system incorporating "yaw control logic." "

What yaw control logic??

i love how everyone has complained about the "softening" of the S2000 for more "common" drivers. yet in essentially the same sentence, people also wonder if they can swap MY04 exterior bits and brightwork into their pre MY04 models. If the 00-03 cars are so "classic"....wouldn't it deface them to add later model pieces to them? Maybe it's just me, but a pre MY04 is a fabulous, and distinct car, and the MY04+ models are fabulous, and distinct as well...please, no inbreeding.

The suspension mods as Edmunds listed them would lead to more understeer in general.

"The original S2000's oversteer came on pretty suddenly, but the limit transition is more manageable and smoother in the updated machine."

So how can I make my 02 more manageable and smoother when reaching it's limits?

Running 215F/255R on my 17's instead of 225F/255R? Aftermarket coilovers?
Different swaybars?

I must agree with you there.. I think both are awesome machines! So what if some of the hard edges were smoothed out a bit, it IS what most people on this board asked for. Guess you just can't please everyone..

I liked the S2200 mention, but American Honda won't back down now. A great review for both cars, although I have never agreed the car cannot be a daily driver or go more than 200 miles. I wouldn't hold a business conference in it though.

It's not the new tail lights, or redesigned front bumper that is "softening" the car. People are complaining about the softer suspension, lower redline, and other performance related issues, not cosmetic ones.
