When I have the top down, it seems like random people are talking trash when I drive by. Whether its like "isnt a little to cold to put the top down"? Or like F that, that car is fake benz. Uh... Does this just happen to me? I'm in my second year at school and it just seems like someone always has something to say when I drive. Well, just wanted to know if this happens to other people. LOL fake benz, thats hillarious. Uh it never happend to me but thats pretty funny to see it happen to someone.

Mostly I get the 14 year old girls telling me how much they like the car or the Grandmom pointing out to her 4 year old grandson "Look that car doesn't have a top on it".

 

I get random comments from people like, "Slow Down!"(even though I'm going 30MPH, I just happen to be in first gear), "Buy American!", "Jap cars suck!" (no racial offense intended, just a quote), "Rice!", "F-you!"(usually followed by hand gestures), "Mommy and Daddy buy you that car?"(I'm 28) and "Small penis!".

I have also had someone piss on the front of my car when it was parked, I've have had a couple kids spit in my car when I passed them and someone threw a coke can at me (I called the police on those ones).

All of these occurances are rare and the verbal compliments/conversation and complimenting stares/thumbups outweigh them dramatically.

 

Ive had everything from "its just a honda!!" to "follow us we're going to a party!" (group of girls in an expedition) You'll get your fair share of both compliments and "FU's." The car attracts attention. Period.

 

I get that all the time in the same situation! People get so mad and I'm not evern speeding!

When I first got the car I got shot at with a pellet gun with the top down. I didn't realize what happened until I got home. I heard a loud snap and thought I ran something over. When I looked at the car it was knicked at the top of my windshield tape and scuffed it up a little. I called the police and filed a report and they went back to the area but couldn't find anyone. The had other reports of it happening. It could have been a lot worse.

 

Wow, being shot at is pretty serious. I hope the police took it seriously.

 

A fellow chicagoland member was shot with a paintball gun. The paint was not the major problem it was the ding...on a suzuka!
