Well I'm not too sure myself. Kinda new to the modding world. Is getting a front swaybar instead of upgrading the rear, the better way to go?

Haste - In general, a stiffer sway bar will cause whichever end of the car it is installed on to lose traction sooner than without the addition of the stiffer bar. So if the vehicle tends to oversteer (rear end loses traction and comes around), then a stiffer front bar can help. If the opposite is true, and the car understeers (front end does not seem to want to turn as far or fast as you steer) then the stiffer rear bar can help.
Specifically for the S, there is a tendency for oversteer, and some people have tried to neutralize this with a stiffer front bar, or by changing tire sizes, going with various aftermarket springs/shocks etc.
I installed a slightly bigger front bar. The car seems less prone to oversteer, and displays slightly less body roll. I am not a good enough driver to say much more than that.
Of the other mods you mentioned, I think the X-brace will give the most noticeable improvement. The STB is nice also, one of the local guys here may have one for sale.

I highly recommend the x-brace. I can feel it in everyday driving, and especially on The Dragon.
