Changing 02 radio door to 04 - Need help
I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum but here goes.
I have got myself an 04 radio door panel from Japan. I really don't know how to change the doors over without breaking anything. Can anyone help?
Here's some pics of the door itself.

If you don't have a console cover just open the radio door and tug it gently on either side until the whole stereo door assembly (includinf vents) comes out. You can use a flat blade screw drive wrapped in electrical tape to help pry the the top out. Just be gentle and patient.
Once you have it out set it on a bench in the open position. The only thing holding the door to the frame are push fit pins. If you have some stiff wire (thick gauge coat hanger is my favourite) you can make a tool to push the pins from the inside out. Just a shallow curve of wire and a handle (rag wrapped around folded wire).
At the hole seen in your picture firmly push the pins from the inside out. There is also a pretensioned spring in the hinge that helps the door open. Not it's position and reassemble the same way.
I'm assuming the '04 door is the same shape as the 00-03's so just reassemble in reverse order.

Okay okay guys - it fit perfectly.
I opened the radio door half way and tugged on it however I was crapping myself thinking I'll snap something. Then sudeenly "snap" - I thought I'd buggered something.
The bottom was free but the top was pretty tight - I got a flat head screw driver and wrapped it with some masking tape and eased it between the top of the centre air vents and the dash. You have to be very careful you don't damage the dash - BE CAREFUL!!
Anyway, managed to get the whole assembly out in about 10 mins. Nothing was broken. The snapping sounds were the clips coming free from the housing.
You have to remove the pins from the radio door to free it from the air vent assembly - an old wire hanger did the trick.
The hard part was getting the spring back into place - it's not difficult, just very tricky. The whole contraption is very simple - you just need a little patience. Once I had the new door in place I tried to close it but then the spring came out of it's position!!! I spent 20 mins trying to get it into place - eventually got it right. I then tested the door about 30 odd times to see I had got it right - it was perfect. Make sure you replace the pins tentatively once you have got the spring in place - don't push them right back in until the door is functioning correctly.
All in all - 30 mins to do the whole job - quite simple once you know how.
Pics you've all been waiting for....
Group buy will go ahead once I can confirm the details with my friend. Hang in there guys!!
