Hey guys, please help!! This morning when I tried to start my MY03 S2k after not driving it for a week, nothing is working. Yes, the battery and the fueses are okay. When I inserted the key, the speedometer, rpm gauge, and all lights in the center gauge do NOT come on as usual. Other electrical instructments such as radio and fans are working perfectly. Even my alarm is working fine. What is going on? I tried to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU but it doesn't help. No sign of engine starting! Please help!

Sure sounds like a fuse, Ed. This may sound stupid, but did you have the key turned all the way to the ON position?

Yes I did. I check all the fuses. They look fine. Everything works besides the center gauge lights. When I press the ENGINE START button, no signs of engine cranking. The car ran great when I drove it last time.

If it's not a fuse (I'd definitely use a voltmeter to check your fuses) it sounds like something has become disconnected.

Any recent service to your vehicle?

i have to ask... are you pressing in the clutch? If so it might be the clutch switch. Look down there to make sure tehre is nothing keeping the pedal from going all the way down.

The center display not coming on is NOT anything that's simple user error. Sounds like the ECU is not booting up. If it's not a fuse or connection, then perhaps the ECU itself is shot.

Besides the above, the turn signal is not working.

Elistan, do you know what could lead to the ECU malfunction?

Did you happen to park your car near some dog food or other rodent food supply? I had some issue on a rental where some rodents stored away in it and chewed through some wires. Lets just say I needed a rental for my rental!! A rodent may have chewed through some wiring causing the ECU to not read. :2psi:

No. I parked it in my apartment's underground parking. There is no sign of chewing or rotten food left over on the ground.
